Annually, EULAR offers bursaries to applicants aged 40 or younger from European countries to attend its rheumatology courses. These bursaries aim to foster the personal and professional development of researchers and clinicians in the field of rheumatology.
Bursary application guidelines
Bursary applications are open to applicants aged 40 or younger. Applicants must submit the following documents:
- CV.
- A motivation letter, clearly outlining your interest in the course, along with the reasons for your desire to participate.
- A list of publications (if applicable).

- 6th EULAR Course on Synovial Biopsy 2025
The 6th EULAR Course on Synovial Biopsy 2025 is taking place in Barcelona, Spain.
The course will be based on the format of a half day interactive lectures and a full day practical biopsy session on cadavers.
This course consists of complementary teaching units, aiming at engaging different specialists such as sonographers, clinical rheumatologists, pathologists, and translational scientists. The most adequate procedures to prepare synovial samples for several types of analysis, including single cell studies, will be addressed.

- The 5th EULAR Autumn Course Days 2025: A Postgraduate Course for Rheumatologists is taking place in Berlin, Germany.
Our course aims to provide insights into several different diagnostic and therapeutic aspects of the modern management of RMDs.
In this unique 2.5-days course, attendees will have an opportunity to network and have intensive interactions with experts in the field in Meet the Expert sessions. They will also be able to discuss with the main authors of recently published EULAR recommendations about the way they were developed and listen to authors who have recently published important articles talk about their work. The interactive and open way of discussion will permit to participants to present their own ideas and ask questions during round table discussions. Evaluation and feedback from participants and instructors will be collected in order to further optimise future events designed in this modern teaching format.

The course is an intensive highly interactive live course focusing on the applications, indications and limitations of imaging techniques in Rheumatology. It encompasses different traditional and modern imaging tools, offering a comprehensive educational event.
This course is highly interactive, and it is based on a combination of lectures (25%), quizzes and workshops (75%), led by a highly qualified faculty in the field of imaging in rheumatology. The lectures include discussion and Q&A slots. The workshops consist of practical training on images and videos and discussions on clinical cases.

This meeting aims to provide insights into practical and methodological aspects of registers and drug observational studies, data handling and analysis, promoting and facilitating collaborative work through a series of interactive lectures, debates, workshops and round table discussions.
The meeting structure and content builds on previous RODS experiences and direct feedback from participants and brings attention to novel aspects around future applications of registers. It incorporates innovative and complex methodology.
