Live courses bursaries
Every year, EULAR awards bursaries to applicants from European countries and overseas to attend EULAR courses in rheumatology. With these bursaries, EULAR wants to contribute to the personal and professional development of researchers and clinicians in rheumatology.
The amount of the bursary depends on the type and length of the course. Applications will be reviewed by the EULAR scoring committee. Only persons who work predominantly in the field of rheumatology are eligible for course bursaries. Candidates should not be older than 40 years.
In addition, EULAR grants a number of bursaries to participants at other courses and scientific meetings organised throughout Europe and overseas. These courses run under EULAR scientific endorsement. EULAR considers these as important topics in the field of rheumatology, but does not take responsibility in the organisation of these courses/meetings.
Bursary application guidelines
If you are under the age of 40 - Applications for bursaries should include a CV, a list of publications (if any) and a good "reason for application"(motivation part of the application). You rather need to state your interest and reasons for wanting to attend a particular course or event.Applications will be reviewed by the EULAR Standing Committee of Education and Training and where applicable also by the standing committee for the relevant topic of application (i.e. epidemiology, imaging, investigative rheumatology, or clinical affairs).
Please note: you first have to be duly registered for a course/event in order to apply for a respective bursary.
- European Workshop for Rheumatology Research (EWRR)
European Workshop for Rheumatology Research (EWRR)
The European Workshop for Rheumatology Research (EWRR) gathers European investigators, in particular young researchers, in order to provide a meeting opportunity, exchange data and organise collaborating links. The main topics of the workshop include the most important areas of interest in rheumatology with a cross-interest also in other specialties.
It has been acknowledged by many participants that it is not only the top quality science but also the friendly atmosphere, supportive environment and keen interest in the presented work that makes this workshop special and memorable. It is the intention of the organising committee to continue with this spirit and provide ample time for poster presentations and to actively stimulate discussions and interactions among participants.
EULAR has not yet determined the bursary for 2022, to be defined.
