This is a course which will take place in Valencia, Spain, from Friday, 21 March 2025 - Saturday, 22 March 2025


Course description

This is a 1.5-day course for Health Professionals in Rheumatology (HPR) on the basic management of common rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions (RMDs). taught by selected faculty of European experts in a very interactive and cordial environment. The course will focus on knowledge and skills most relevant for HPRs' daily practice. Participants have the opportunity to meet experts in an informal setting and network with other HPR with different professional backgrounds and career pathways. 


Learning objectives 

  • Gain up-to-date knowledge on the management of pain, fatigue, physical activity, and telecare interventions in rheumatology, particularly for conditions like RA, OA, and others.
  • Acquire practical skills in assessing and managing fracture risk, cardiovascular health, and physical function in patients with RMDs.
  • Understand and apply interdisciplinary approaches, including rehabilitation and first-line mental health support for patients and colleagues.
  • Enhance competence in both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions for pain management and wound care.
  • Develop familiarity with the development of innovative care models using the Medical Research Council’s framework for Complex Interventions, such as the development of a new nurse-led interdisciplinary self-management intervention (INSELMA).
  • Engage in clinical case discussions to apply learned principles to complex, real-world scenarios, reinforcing collaborative, patient-centered care approaches.

Registration is open. Early registration is strongly advised, as availability is limited to a set number of spots.

Bursary

EULAR grants 5 bursaries in the amount of EUR 300 each

  • The amount of the bursary will be deducted from the course fee. 
  • Please apply with your CV, motivation letter, and publication list (if any) via the registration system. 

Bursary application deadline: Sunday, 5 January 2025.  

Notification: Mid-January 2025.  


Certificate of Attendance 

Upon successful completion of the course, all participants will receive a certificate of attendance via their EULAR School user account. Please note that full attendance (100%) is required to receive the certificate.
