Course description
This is a 1.5-day course for Health Professionals in Rheumatology (HPR) on the basic management of common rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions (RMDs). taught by selected faculty of European experts in a very interactive and cordial environment. The course will focus on knowledge and skills most relevant for HPRs' daily practice. Participants have the opportunity to meet experts in an informal setting and network with other HPR with different professional backgrounds and career pathways.
Learning objectives
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of current best practices for managing pain, fatigue, physical activity, and telecare interventions in rheumatology, particularly for conditions like rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
- Accurately assess and effectively manage fracture risk, cardiovascular health, and physical function in patients with rheumatic diseases.
- Utilise interdisciplinary approaches, including rehabilitation and first-line mental health support, to provide comprehensive care for patients and colleagues.
- Apply both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions to effectively manage pain and wound care in patients with rheumatic diseases.
- Identify and implement innovative care models and evidence-based strategies, such as nurse-led interdisciplinary interventions (e.g., INSELMA), to enhance clinical practice.
- Analyse complex, real-world clinical cases and demonstrate the ability to apply learned principles to reinforce collaborative and patient-centered care.
Certification
After the course, all participants who have successfully completed the course will receive a certificate of attendance on their EULAR School user account. 100% course attendance is required. The course will integrate with the EULAR Educational Programme / EULAR School of Rheumatology and objectives.Avenida de Francia 11

EULAR grants 5 bursaries in the amount of EUR 300 each.
